Neste wants more filling stations
Fortum Polska, owner of the Neste chain of filling stations, claims that it hopes to increase the number of its petrol stations from 18 to thirty this year. The cost of building just one petrol station is around PLN2m — PLN3m.
The company intends to develop only non staffed stations called A24. It does not intend to build stations with shops and a car wash as it did earlier. The advantage of self service is that it allows fuel to be sold at around ten groszy per litre less than a staffed station.
Jacek Wróblewski, general director of the fuel trade organisation POHPN said that he does not believe the growth of self service will effect the development of traditional staffed petrol stations.
