HP acquiring Compaq
Hewlett-Packard is to acquire Compaq Computer for PLN25bn. The Polish subsidiaries have chosen not to comment so far on the deal.
HP, which concentrates largely on peripheral devises such as printers has sales worth three times that of Compaq in this country. In Poland Compaq has a good share of the notebook market.
