Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – WIG20 fell 0.75 percent on Friday although some dozen minutes before closing the market it seemed it would rise. However, it was not as bad as in Hungary where BUX lost over 3 percent. Within this week, WIG20 shed 4.2 percent while BUX over 8 percent.
PKN Orlen fuel giant was the most traded company. Shares worth PLN 313m (EUR 79.5m) changed hands. Shares of all blue chips worth PLN 995m changed hands. In the whole market, the volume of trade exceeded PLN 1.07 billion. TP telecom was the best performer among giants – it managed not to fall. Pekao SA bank was the worst performer which dived 3 percent. BRE Bank, PKO BP and KGHM were not much better. Prokom and Softbank IT companies were the best performers among WIG20 companies: they grew 2.7 and 2.2 percent respectively.Among smaller companies, Internet Group investors had a good day – the company jumped 30.1 percent. The company is going to publish its financial forecast on October 20th. PC Guard, whose shares were withheld from trading due to investigation of the securities and exchange commission after several days of huge gains (300 percent), dived 95 percent.
