Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The value of internet ads grew by several dozens percent last year. Google jumped to the first tenth in the ranking.
Polish internet portals earned PLN 140-150m (EUR 36.7-39.3m) from ads. Internet is still the fastest growing add market although only 3 percent of ad budgets are spent here. Onet remains the leader with 37-40 percent of all spending (according to estimations, there is still no official monitoring of the market). Wirtualna Polska has about 20 percent of the market while Ad.net ad network representing over 100 websites – 11-15 percent.
“Last year, thanks to hard price policy, Wirtualna Polska increased its market share. What it gained, was lost by Interia and Gazeta.pl”, one of publishers estimated.
Google, the only foreign company in the ranking, managed to get to the first tenth. It has several percent of the market.
“This company is doing very well and wisely. This year, we will hear about it for sure”, Adam Dyba from IDMnet ad network said.
This is going to be another good year for the industry.
“In 2006, ad revenues will amount to nearly PLN 210m. Internet will constitute about 4 percent of the ad market, which is nearly half of the radio market”, Jacek Makowski, the head of Onet sales department said.
Not all specialists are that optimistic but they agree that the e-ad market faces another year of growth.
