Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The chain of shops with RTV and home appliances products wants to become a big national player. The acquisition of rival Mars should help.
The news revealed recently by “PB” were confirmed. Mix Electronics which has the chain RTV Mix AGD wants to buy RTV Mars AGD which has financial difficulties.
“We have submitted an offer to buy Mars shares put out for sale by the debt collector”, Henryk Sala, Mix Electronics CEO said.
Mix was founded in Krakow, south Poland. Mars is strong in western Poland. The acquisition of Mars would allow Mix to substantially increase the number of outlets and sales. There are nearly 200 shops in the Mix network. Mars has a similar number of outlets.
