This year state rail operator PKP is hoping to collect over PLN240m from the sale of surplus property. By the end of 2006 this figure could increase to PLN650m. The company is also seeking partners to help it in renovation work on railway stations which will remain in the hands of the mother company. In July a new tender for the modernisation of Warsaw central station is expected.
