Konsorcjum Stali and Bodek merge into giant with PLN 1 billion (EUR 264m) of sales

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The third biggest steel distributor is being found in Poland with over PLN 1 billion of sales expected this year.

 

Konsorcjum Stali and Bodeko, companies distributing steel, are merging. After the IPO, the merged company will become Poland’s biggest listed steel distributor. The companies had PLN 839m of joint sales last year and over PLN 19m of income. Listed Stalprofil had PLN 528.9m of sales, while Drozapol and Centrostal about PLN 150m. ThyssenKrup Energostal with PLN 1.43 billion of sales and Zlomrex with PLN 1.17 billion are the biggest players on the market.

 

Konsorcjum Stali has received the permission from competition authorities for the merger. The main provision of the preliminary agreement is Konsorsjum’s lising. After the merger, sales of the new company will exceed PLN 1 billion.
