Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Kopex, the listed exporter of mining machines, is going to pay out a higher dividend for the year 2005 then it did a year ago.
The management of Kopex with headquarters in Katowice is going to propose the shareholders to pay out dividend.
“I cannot tell you how high dividend”, Rafal Rost, Kopex CEO said.
According to unofficial sources, the shareholders may receive more than last year when they got PLN 1.29 a share. The final decision will be made at the GSM with the main shareholder, Zabrzanskie Zaklady Mechaniczne (65 percent) as the most important vote.
Last year, the management of Kopex said the company would develop in China, which is the world’s biggest coal producer.
“We have signed the first contract in years to deliver equipment enriching coal”, Rafal Rost said.
The contract is worth over EUR 100,000, which is not much for Kopex. The other markets to be entered by Kopex include Serbia, India and Indonesia.
Last year, Kopex had PLN 586.5m (EUR 148,9m) of sales and PLN 19.8m of net income.
