Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The listed producer of lighting equipment, which so far has focused on technical wares, has decided to enter the decorative market.
“We estimate the market at PLN 150m (EUR 39.4m) a year. In 2006 we want to generate PLN 4-5m inthis segment”, Maciej Rychlewski, Lena CEO said.
He expects that home equipment will have rentability at the same level as the rest of the company has today: 14 percent. At first, Lena is going to import goods from China, Turkey or India. If the idea proves profitable, the company may build its own facility but not earlier than in two year’s time. The project is worth several million zlotys.
The company is currently preparing its financial forecasts.
“We will publish them in two- three weeks time”, Maciej Rychlewski said.
The company expects that its sales will grow the same as last year when they added 17 percent to PLN 89m.
