“The priority is to increase PKN Orlen’s capitalization”, Jacek Krawiec, the company’s CEO said.
This may be achieved by consolidation with companies from the energy sector.
“This would increase PKN Orlen’s value and make it possible to take care of the country’s energy security. Besides, we would be able to get closer to our rivals, including MOL (with PLN 22bn, or EUR 6.6bn of capitalization) and OMV (PLN 36bn). PKN Orlen is worth PLN 15bn today and we cannot dream about any oil alliances in the region”, Jacek Krawiec believed.
There are no talks going on yet but the CEO enumerates Grupa Lotos, PGNiG, PGE, Energa and Tauron as possible partners.
Oil production, which Jacek Krawiec, said would be one of the priorities, should also increase the value of the company. PKN Orlen will cooperate with partners from Persian Gulf. In addition the company won’t withdraw from Lithuania, Germany and the Czech Republic.
