Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) - According to Krzysztof Jazdzewski, Poland?s main veterinary inspector, China may soon open its market to Polish meat.

Talks have been going on since the middle of September. Decision to let the Polish meat in, may be announced at the beginning of next year.

Polish producers plan to visit China.

Poultry producers are sceptical.

China is a very big poultry producer. We used to export geese and duck?s parts there but today, their prices are half of the Polish ones, Romuald Paczkowski, the CEO of the National Poultry Council said.

Witold Choinski, the CEO of the Polish Association of Meat Producers, Exporters and Importers, believes that although prices in China are not high today, it may change within several months.

China has developed production but there is still place for our products.

This is a very big and absorptive market. With Japan and Korean importing Polish meat already, this could be yet another chance for our products, Witold Choinski believed.
