Gino Rossi clothes and shoe distributor to ask investors for money

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The company needs funds to develop its shop network and acquire new firms. In 2008, it plans yet another big issue.

Gino Rossi, the distributor of female clothing, shoes and bags, is going to continue launching several dozens new shops annually. Today, it has 150 shops of the following brands: Gino Rossi, Geox, Vanita and Simple. In the middle of next year, it will issue new shares.

“This issue will be bigger than the last one when we raised PLN 36m (EUR 9.5m) because we face serious expenditures”, Maciej Fedorowicz, Gino Rossi CEO said.  

Part of the funds will be spent for acquisitions. The company is negotiating with several Polish and foreign firms.

“We want to introduce multinational brands to Poland. We also consider acquisitions of Polish companies with their distribution network”, the CEO added.

Gino Rossi is also going to found a male clothing brand. First shops will be launched early next year. Details will be presented in October.  

Gino Rossi expects to have PLN 170m of sales and PLN 12.5m of net income this year. A year ago, sales amounted to PLN 117.4m while the net income to PLN 9.6m.
