Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The Ministry of Economy promises that it will limit controls in companies. There is also supposed to be one-step-shop for entrepreneurs registering their business.

Till the middle of June, the Ministry of Economy plans to conclude works in the second stage of a project aimed at increasing economic freedom.

“The most important changes is limiting the number and time of controls in companies plus introducing one-step-shop for people founding a business”, Grzegorz Wlazlo, the advisor to Adam Szejnfeld, deputy Minister of Economy said.

The first stage of increasing economic freedom consisted in the possibility to suspend the business plus implementing binding social insurance interpretations.

“The newest amendment consists of changes in over 60 laws for all control entities. We are implementing a rule that the law on economic freedom is prior to the older laws”, Grzegorz Wlazlo added.

As far as controls are concerned, micro-companies won’t be controlled for longer than 2 weeks annually, small ones – 3 weeks, mid-sized ones – 4 weeks and big ones: 8 weeks. There are about 50 control entities in Poland. Many of them control companies at the same time.

One-step-shop will be offered to all people registering their business.

“The plan is to make it possible to submit all necessary documents at one place, e.g. local authorities’ office. Entrepreneur would than no longer need to go to tax office, social insurance company ZUS and central statistical office GUS”, Grzegorz Wlazlo explained.
