Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Sanitec Kolo, bathroom ceramics producer, a subsidiary of the Finnish Sanitec for Poland, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Romania, has stopped the project of building a new plant near Lodz. The factory, worth PLN 150 million (EUR 34.8 million) was to be built in the special economic zone. ‘We can always realise this project. For the time being we are starting production in Ukraine’, Marek Kukuryka, Sanitek Kolo CEO said.

He assured that this year had been quite good for his company although – due to complicated ownership connections within Sanitec group – it was impossible to give detailed results. ‘We will have a double-digit sales growth this year’, Marek Kukuryka revealed. In the first half of the year, Sanitec Kolo’s sales grew by 19.4 percent, while in Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and Benelux countries the growth amounted to around 5 percent.
