Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The authorities of the Polish police have announced IT tenders worth PLN 200m (EUR 51.8m). The most important projects are connected with the Schengen IT system (SIS), which Poland is to join in 2007. Entering the system will allow to stop border controls. The majority of SIS projects will be launched in January.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Naftobazy, Poland’s largest operator of fuel stocks, will have PLN 40.8m (EUR 10.6m) of net income this year, nearly twice as much as last year. Next year is going to be even better.

According to preliminary data, Kompania Weglowa (KW), Europe’s largest coal producer with 17 mines and 69,000 employees, will have net income of PLN 236m (EUR 61.6m) this year. Next year’s results are not that optimistic.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Mrowka, the designer and distributor of clothes for teenagers from Torun, north-central Poland, has to wait till January, to receive its PLN 400,000 (EUR 104,400) worth of clothes which has been stopped by the duty officers.
