“Dzien Dobry” free paper to be sold

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Arcus Capital private equity fund, the owner of a 97 percent stake in DD Media, the publisher of “Dzien Dobry” free paper may sell the shares. “We are open for acquisition offers. If a proper offer appears, the owner will sell us”, Morten Lindholm Jorgensen, DD Media CEO said.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Arcus Capital private equity fund, the owner of a 97 percent stake in DD Media, the publisher of “Dzien Dobry” free paper may sell the shares. “We are open for acquisition offers. If a proper offer appears, the owner will sell us”, Morten Lindholm Jorgensen, DD Media CEO said. The company has already been evaluated because a branch investor was considering to buy the publisher but talks collapsed. “The price that the investor offered was not satisfactory to our owners”, Morten Lindholm Jorgensen said.

Before new investor appears, the company is going to improve its finances. “Till 2007, we want to double sales and reach 10 percent EBITDA”, DD Media CEO said. In 2005, the company would like to have PLN 30m (EUR 7.6m) of sales. As for net income, it has not come out of red yet. “Maybe we will have net income in the second quarter of 2006”, Morten Lindholm Jorensens estimated.(PLN 1 = EUR 0.253)
