In the next few years the State owned Polska Żegluga Morska plans to order twenty ships at a cost of around USD370m. This would be very good news for the hard pressed Polish shipbuilding industry which has been hitting the headlines over the past few weeks only the orders will go to Asian yards. The firm considers that it can get far better prices and conditions in the Far East.
