Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Nord Capital (NC), a company from Gdynia, northern Poland, plans investments to compete with such giants as Frosta or Wilbo.

NC, a family company specializing in fish imports and distribution, is going to develop fast this year.

“Till the year 2003, we delivered fish to fish plants, generating over 80 percent of our sales this way. In 2004, we decided to sell our own products: NC Seafood. To develop this activity, we need big investments. We are starting them in April”, Dorota Domnik, the CEO and co-owner of Nord Capital said.

NC will build a freezing house and a plant to prepare fish.

“Thanks to this project, which may be finished this year, we will be able to develop our offer”, Dorota Domnik added.

Today, NC prepares many fish in China, Vietnam or India. With its new plant, it will take over part of the production ordered in Denmark and Poland to other companies.

NC expects to increase sales to PLN 110m (EUR 28.3m) from PLN 86m in 2005. The company employs 22 people including 7 drivers. When the investment is concluded, the employment should double. In 2005, NC had PLN 2m of net income.
