Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Today, the WIG20 index ended the day at 1,876.38, or 0.45 percent higher. Shares of blue chips worth 25 percent less than yesterday, however, changed hands. It may be a sign that pension funds stopped trading after they prevented further falls.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Jutrzenka, Poland’s sweet producer rose over 10 percent yesterday to PLN 63.5 (EUR 15.2). Rumours appeared in the market that after it successfully acquired rival Goplana, it wants to start talks with listed Mieszko. ‘No comment’, Jan Kolanski, the CEO and main shareholder in Jutrzenka said.

WIG20 added over 2 percent to 1,868.00 points. Shares of blue chips worth PLN 550 m (EUR 130.9 m) changed hands, while on Monday it was only PLN 180 m.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Comarch, Poland’s listed IT integrator, had PLN 74 m (EUR 17.6 m) of sales in the first quarter, or 11.5 percent more than in the same period of last year. Operating and net income, however fell. Operating income amounted to PLN 1.5 m this year, against PLN 4.45 m last year, while net income fell to PLN 1.3 m from 3.6 m.
