Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – WIG20 rebounded on Thursday by 1.5 percent to 1,918.36. Eight previous sessions, however, the WIG20 index had lost over 6 percent, and since the end of February it had shed 10.7 percent. Growing indices were accompanied by growing volume of trade. Blue chips’ shares worth PLN 440 m (EUR 105.2 m) changed hands.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – KGHM, Poland’s copper and silver producer, wants to implement modern IT systems managing ores and delivery. According to “Puls Biznesu” unofficial sources, the project is wroth PLN 100 m (EUR 23.9 m). Invitations to IT companies have already been sent. ‘Offers may be submitted till the end of May.

Jacek Socha, Poland’s Minister of Treasury, believes that the IPOs of Lotos refinery and PGNiG gas monopoly should not be conducted at the same time. ‘The privatisation will not compete. At least 2-3-week time difference will be between their IPOs.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – TV4, one of Poland’s smaller private TV broadcasting companies, wants to invest PLN 10 m (EUR 2.4 m) this year, a big amount for the company. New programmes will be implemented, including its own series. ‘This year’s investments are two times bigger than last year’s.
